Pastor Mitch Thrower has served as the pastor of Indian Springs Church since March 2020. He has been in ministry since 1989, faithfully leading churches in both Texas and Alabama before being called to Indian Springs.
Mitch is married to his wife, Diane, and together they are blessed with five children and two grandchildren(and one on the way!). Their family shares a deep love for missions and a passion to see people transformed by the Gospel.
Pastor Mitch’s heart is to help others grow in a passionate, life-changing relationship with God through Jesus Christ, both in the local church and around the world.
David Barrero serves as the Student Pastor at ISFBC and works with the Shelby Baptist Association, where he pours into the next generation and helps equip others for ministry. A graduate of Covenant College and an Impact 360 alumnus, David has a big heart for missions, apologetics, and reaching students with the gospel.
When he’s not teaching or serving, you can probably find him trying new foods or planning his next big adventure with his wife, Nicole, who shares his passion for ministry.
Hi! I’m Micah Cunningham, the Children’s Minister at Indian Springs Church. My wife, Meredith, and I have been serving in ministry together for over a decade, and we love what we do. We have two energetic boys, Roan and Springer, who share our excitement for church life.
Outside of ministry, you’ll often find me spending time with my family—whether we’re relaxing by the pool or cruising around in our Jeep.
At Indian Springs, our Children’s Ministry—called Sticky Ministries—is all about creating a Christ-centered foundation that sticks. We offer a fun, faith-based curriculum that engages kids from Birth through 5th Grade. Things can get a little messy (in the best way!), but our goal is always clear: helping children grow in their faith through meaningful, lasting experiences. Our dedicated team of teachers is passionate about nurturing young hearts and minds in a joyful, welcoming environment.

Having grown up in the Birmingham area, Martha counts it a blessing to serve in the community she has long called home. She and her husband, Jack, are blessed with three grown children.
